About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic leader who is as passionate as we are with helping Canadians succeed with credit. The Third-Party Management Team provides third party sourcing services utilizing integral governance practices to support Capital One’s strategic objectives.
As the Principal Associate reporting to the Senior Manager, Supplier Management, Governance and Process Management, you are the first line execution leader who will partner with business partners and stakeholders on third party matters to ensure you and your team provide the best leverage to Capital One in the third party space while effectively managing risk. This will include adherence to Third-Party Risk Management policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
In addition, you will have deep expertise in governance, third party monitoring, and stakeholder management within the financial services industry
Your Responsibilities:
Ensure comprehensive oversight of all assigned third party relationships
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including enterprise in order to enhance controls, effectively manage risks, and streamline processes
Responsible for successfully executing on the Canada Site Assessment and the Third-Party Data Share Program
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders (1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defense) across the organization to achieve strategic objectives
Execute governance activities, including leading control testing and reporting, for the Third-Party Management organization
Ensuring policies, standards, procedures, and processes related to third party management reflect current practices and are aligned to enterprise and regulatory requirements
Remain informed about changes in regulations and industry trends that may influence operational practices
Participate in key management forums and contribute to continuous improvement and/or best practices.
Support internal audit reviews, regulatory inquiries, incident management, and remediation activities pertaining to TPM
Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities with various stakeholders with an acute appreciation for deadlines impacting speed to market for Capital One products or services
Have an innovative mindset with the objective of creating efficiency
Be an effective change agent through the execution of of plans and fulfillment activities
Develop plans or strategies to drive innovation with the objective of creating efficiency
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience within third party management/third party risk management within the financial services industry
Strong knowledge of OSFI B-10 and E-21
At least 5 years experience working in a cross-functional environment, ensuring business and stakeholder expectations are effectively managed
Having the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, the Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) certification, the Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP) designation is an asset
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
