About the Team
Team Pickle is responsible for building a new internal performance management tool from the ground up through deployment. The team will contribute to requirements definition, frontend UI development, backend design and implementation, and high-level system architecture. Senior team members will provide technical guidance and mentorship throughout the process.
About the Role
As an engineer onTeam Pickle, you will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to define and deliver the product. This internal initiative offers a unique opportunity to actively shape and refine requirements based on your insights, expertise, and recommendations. You will be involved in building infrastructure, feature development, comprehensive testing (unit, component, and integration), deployment, monitoring, and addressing cyber security vulnerabilities.

Jenkins, Onepipeline (Capital One’s innersourced CI/CD pipeline)

Your Responsibilities:
Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
Develop code to meet story acceptance criteria
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high-level quality output
Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality, and time to market imperatives
Participate in Agile ceremonies, design and brainstorming sessions
Collaborate with Product and Analyst stakeholders to implement enhancements or new applications
Technical Documentation for analysis, test results and release.
Learn and build AWS cloud infrastructure on the job
Have fun with the team
Basic Qualifications:
Will obtain a Bachelor’s degree or higher from August 2026 or later
Familiarity with web development like HTML5, CSS,3, Javascript.
Familiarity with application development using any backend programming language.
Good communication, presentation, and writing skills
Good understanding of testing fundamentals
Able to work within a team setting and actively participate and collaborate in team discussion

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with backend technologies such as Java, AWS Lambda, S3.
Experience with version control technology i.e. Git
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, microservices, API design / integration
Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue, React

The expected annual salary range for this position is $45,000 - $85,000.
