About the Team

The Marketing team defines how Capital One shows up for our audience. We are seeking a proactive Associate to support our Ad Strategy and Mass Brand teams as we share our brand story across all channels. Our focus is to bridge the gap between big-picture vision and the technical execution of audience-first, data-driven creative.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll become proficient in executing our marketing campaigns and ensuring operational processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will bring our full-funnel advertising and brand strategies to life across digital and traditional platforms, while ensuring campaigns launch on time, meet quality standards and are set up for performance. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ad Operations

    • Own the end-to-end campaign trafficking process, ensuring rigorous adherence to naming conventions, metadata taxonomy, and tracking requirements across all brand platforms

    • Manage the end-to-end QA workflow with external agencies and internal partners, ensuring all campaign assets—across digital (i.e. paid social, display, email) and traditional (i.e. audio, out of home) channels—strictly follow established submission protocols and technical specifications prior to deployment

    • Drive campaign project management by leveraging Workfront (our project management tool), developing comprehensive workback schedules and project timelines to ensure all deliverables remain on track 

    • Manage key processes and workflows that maximize output and enable the team to launch high-quality campaigns without barriers (i.e. access controls, risk documentation) 

    • Own the day-to-day execution and operational health of our organic social channels, including content scheduling, publishing, and ongoing account maintenance.

    • Act as a point of contact for enterprise compliance, ensuring all social content and platform activities align with brand standards, legal requirements, and internal policies.

    • Manage the publishing for our Life & Credit blog, including formatting and posting content to ensure a high-quality experience for our audience. 

  • Creative Strategy Support

    • Own the creative feedback process by consolidating team feedback and sharing with external and internal creative partners in a concise and timely manner

    • Develop a creative eye & good sense of the Capital One Canada brand guidelines to weigh in on campaign creative & production, being comfortable representing feedback with stakeholders and triaging follow up questions accordingly 

  • Reporting

    • Pull performance data to support reporting and content optimization

    • Conduct competitive reviews and provide recommendations to inform and elevate our strategies 

  • Budget & Vendor Management

    • Work with internal third party management team to ensure our key vendors are in good standing, meeting our quality bar, and satisfying all necessary requirements 

    • Coordinate vendor billing and payment (i.e. creating POs, contract signage)

    • Ensure all media blocking charts true back to marketing budgets & reasonable working to non-working budget ratios

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years experience in an advertising, media, or content operations role 

  • Familiarity with paid media platforms or CMS tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field

  • Experience with executing campaigns on social and digital platforms. If you can navigate DV360, CM360, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Meta Ads Manager, that’s awesome! If not, don’t worry as long as you have interest and aptitude for learning how to execute campaigns in these platforms 

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines & projects at one time

  • Resourceful problem-solver with a "figure-it-out" mindset; able to troubleshoot technical discrepancies or tracking issues independently.

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment 

  • Interest in risk management and customer-focused marketing
