  • Expands knowledge of design processes and methodologies and learns new ones as appropriate.

  • Contributes to the development and refinement of design systems, and ensures they're applied to everything we do.

  • Applies design strategy and best practices through hands-on project work.

  • Typically focuses on functional-level design challenges.

  • Operates primarily at the execution level with guidance from senior peers.

  • Participates in and contributes to design workshop planning and facilitation with some guidance from senior peers.

  • Typically responsible for sharing the interface or design solution and providing context with minimal input from senior peers.

  • Designs with customers and business goals in mind.

  • Helps drive design team culture by participating in and starting to lead some ceremonies and team events.

  • Examples of work that tell a story through a feature/product and demonstrate involvement throughout the design cycle.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HCI/UX, Design, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Fluency in best practices for both web and native app-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.

  • Knowledge of web technologies  to facilitate an understanding of tech constraints.

  • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps and interactive prototypes.

  • Familiarity with design software, including Figma, Axure RP Pro and InVision. Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.

Skills Required

  • Core design skills (including visual design), with some extended skills, such as familiarity with iOS and Android differences and technical considerations.

  • A commitment to accessible design, strengthened through past experience with accessibility standards and guidelines.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate the design process, decisions and rationale to teammates and partner teams with clarity and an inspiring style.

  • The ability to present to all levels within an organization.

  • Ability to design to meet success metrics, with some input from peers and/or a Senior Product Designer.
