As the Canada Risk Management Product Owner, you will own the product roadmap for our nascent controls management framework that has the ability to transform the way we manage risk at Capital One. You will have the opportunity to directly connect with customers and stakeholders to shape the future of how technology and risk management intersect to create seamless experiences and ensure we accelerate toward our goals. You will immerse yourself in our iterative controls management system to understand control execution, triage, reporting, and remediation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure we leverage customer insights and data to drive our product agenda to deliver transformational experiences within controls management. You will work with a Canada-based data team to enable your vision. You will define the future strategy for how we grow technology to revolutionize our controls environment and risk management across our business.

You’ll deconstruct complex problems and guide your team toward the right solutions. You’ll deliver human centered design - effectively advocating for the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle - while leveraging a data-driven approach that reflects a grounded understanding of business objectives.

Create easy digital solutions that help customers address fraud and easily get back to using their card.
Develop assistance programs to help customers who are struggling with their payments

3 - 5 years of Product Management experience
3 - 5 years of Risk Management or Process Management experience
Experience successfully delivering a software product, or working in an Agile environment (scrum or kanban)
Strong quantitative and qualitative skills; able to make data-driven decisions and provide recommendations to drive action
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering or relevant field
3 - 5 years of experience working in financial services, technology, or operations
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) an asset
Ability to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with different stakeholders (including senior leadership)
